Bently Nevada ADRE 208-P Overview
Portable Data Acquisition for Rotating Equipment Diagnostics
The 208-P is the current-generation DAIU, connecting to a computer through an Enhanced Parallel Port (EPP) supported by virtually all notebook and desktop systems of its era. It is Bently Nevada’s recommended DAIU for all new applications. The earlier 208 DAIU used an older notebook docking-port or ISA-card connection method; a 208 and a 208-P cannot be connected together, so a 208 is only relevant when interfacing with an existing 208 already in service. The unit accepts both dynamic transducer signals (proximity probes, velocity transducers, accelerometers, dynamic pressure sensors) and static process variable signals, plus Keyphasor or other speed inputs, and can run on AC or battery power for use at test stands or machinery sites in the field.
This is legacy diagnostic equipment: ADRE for Windows software supports Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, and Windows 2000, and the manufacturer’s own minimum computer requirements call for a 486 processor and 32 MB of RAM. It remains genuinely useful for facilities running existing ADRE infrastructure, or for technicians who need a proven, portable tool for field vibration diagnostics, but it is not comparable to a modern software platform running on current operating systems.

FAQ
What Buyers Ask About the Bently Nevada ADRE 208-P
It’s the hardware component of the ADRE for Windows system, a portable, multi-channel data acquisition platform used to capture and diagnose vibration data on rotating machinery in the field.
The 208-P connects to a computer through an Enhanced Parallel Port and is Bently Nevada’s recommended DAIU for all new applications. The earlier 208 DAIU used an older docking-port or ISA-card connection. A 208 and a 208-P cannot be connected together, so a 208 is only needed to interface with an existing 208 already in service.
One or two 208-P DAIUs, ADRE for Windows software, and a computer capable of running it. The DAIU itself is the portable hardware unit; the software and computer are separate, required components.
It accepts dynamic transducer signals such as proximity probes, velocity transducers, accelerometers, and dynamic pressure sensors, along with static process variable signals and Keyphasor or other speed inputs.
Microsoft Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, and Windows 2000. This is legacy software, and running it requires hardware and an operating system consistent with those requirements.
Yes. The DAIU can operate on AC or battery power, supporting roughly 4 hours of typical use on a single charge, which allows it to be used at test stands or machinery sites without a fixed power connection.
The ADRE 208-P and its software were designed for legacy operating systems and older PC hardware. It remains in use at facilities running existing ADRE infrastructure, and units are available through independent industrial supply channels, including Instrubiz, typically as tested equipment. Contact our team to confirm current availability.
Yes, duty-paid, door-to-door delivery is available across Canada, with particular experience serving oil and gas operations in Alberta and offshore operations in Newfoundland and Labrador.
For the fastest quotation, provide the configuration needed (adapter type and battery type), quantity required, and delivery location. Our team confirms configuration and pricing within 24 hours.
